Ideal candidates will have an emergency management background or relevant qualifications, strong communication skills and the ability to work across councils and communities, with rostered on-duty availability as part of the role.

Qualifikationen

• Diploma or equivalent qualification in emergency management, community development, or related field.
• 3+ years experience in emergency management systems and functions.
• Experience in organising meetings and engaging local community groups.
• Ability to speak at community meetings and events.
• Coordinate and deliver training for council staff and community partners.
• Strong knowledge of health and safety legislation and social platforms.

Aufgaben

• Proactively build relationships with community and stakeholders to improve preparedness.
• Support communities to develop community response plans.
• Develop and deliver public education programmes.
• Deliver training across the 4Rs to staff, communities and volunteers.
• Assist in Emergency Coordination Centre operations during responses.
• Rostered on-duty availability and after-hours work as required.
