Job summary

Geneva Wellbeing is seeking a registered Occupational Therapist to join our Christchurch community team on a contracting basis. You will support clients across ACC contracts and rehabilitation pathways, helping people recover and regain independence in their daily lives.

The role offers flexible hours, working with a multidisciplinary South Island team, and ongoing support from leadership plus development opportunities. Travel across Canterbury is expected.

Qualifications

• New Zealand Registered Occupational Therapist with current APC.
• Experience across ACC contracts (HCS, SRNA, Concussion, Training for Independence).
• Strong time management and report writing; able to travel Canterbury.

Responsibilities

• Provide community-based rehabilitation for clients with orthopaedic and neurological injuries.
• Work across ACC contracts including HCS, SRNA, and Concussion.
• Set own hours with referrals; collaborate with multidisciplinary team.

We're seeking a talented and motivated Community Occupational Therapist Contractor to join our team, supporting clients across Christchurch and the surrounding Canterbury areas.

About the Role | He kōrero mō tēnei tūranga

This is a contracting opportunity for a registered Occupational Therapist to join our community-based team in Christchurch and the surrounding Canterbury areas.

You will work across ACC contracts, including HCS, SRNA, Concussion, and Training for Independence, supporting clients with orthopaedic, neurological and other injuries. You will have the opportunity to be part of our clients' rehabilitation journeys and see the meaningful impact of your work.

While you will work independently day to day, you will be part of our supportive South Island multidisciplinary team, with monthly team meetings and ongoing support from the Team Leader and Referral Coordinator.

This contracting opportunity offers flexibility to set your own hours, with work available as referrals come through.

What you will bring | Ngā tohungatanga mō tēnei tūranga

• Experience as a New Zealand Registered Occupational Therapist
• Experience working across ACC contracts, including HCS, SRNA, Concussion, and Training for Independence
• Community rehabilitation experience working with clients with orthopaedic, neurological and other injuries
• Current NZ Registration with the Occupational Therapy Board of New Zealand and a current APC
• ACC provider number and registration with Enable
• Current First Aid certificate
• Strong time management and report writing skills
• Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team and independently
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to travel across Christchurch and surrounding Canterbury areas
