Job summary

Jamiyah Singapore is seeking a patient care assistant to join our supportive team on the West Coast. You will assist with daily patient care, execute prescribed therapeutic activities, and support nursing staff in a hospital or care home setting.

The role emphasizes teamwork, attention to safety, and compassionate service to residents. Entry-level applicants are welcome, with CPR knowledge considered advantageous.

Qualifications

• PSLE or N Levels with WSQ Community Care certificate.
• At least 1 year experience is advantageous but entry level may apply.
• Knowledge of CPR is advantageous.
• Good team player who can work well independently.

Responsibilities

• Manage patients as instructed by the Registered Therapist and report regularly.
• Provide therapeutic intervention as specified in exercise prescriptions.
• Provide ambulation to ambulatory patients.
• Maintain records of services and client condition.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Manage the patients as instructed by the Registered Therapist and report on regular intervals.

• To provide therapeutic intervention as specified in exercise prescriptions sheets.

• Provide ambulation to ambulatory patients.

• May maintain records of services performed and of the apparent condition of the client.

• Perform basic care functions such as area cleaning, laundry, bathing, transferring, oral feeding, changing diapers, and patient escorting.

• Assist in transferring residents who may have problems with mobility using appropriate transfer and ‘lifting’ techniques, helping Clients.

• Provide general observation support to nursing staff, so as to inform them about any patient abnormalities such as overall outlook, skin condition, and discrepancies in behavior.

• Ensure adherence to safe work practices and the policy, philosophy, and procedures set out within the nursing home facility.

Requirements

• PSLE/N Levels with WSQ Certificate in Community Care.

• At least 1 year experience will be advantageous but entry level may apply

• Knowledge in CPR will be advantageous.

• Good team player who is able to work well independently.

• Be prepared to perform other duties as assigned.
