Job summary

The Financial Markets Authority (FMA) is seeking an experienced Adviser, Communications - Internal & External to join our Communications and Delivery team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. You will manage social media channels, create engaging content, and support internal communication platforms.

Applicants should have strong writing/editing skills, content creation experience, and familiarity with LinkedIn, Facebook, X and other channels.

Qualifications

  • Sound writing and editorial experience in an in-house or agency role (3+ years).
  • Strong writing, editing and content creation skills across audiences/channels.
  • Experience producing content for different channels.
  • Knowledge of social media technologies, trends and engagement.
  • Experience in social media monitoring, measurement, evaluation and community management.
  • Familiarity with LinkedIn, Facebook, X and other paid media channels.
  • Analytical, critical thinking and planning skills.
  • Ability to manage time, prioritise and organise work.
  • Ability to establish credibility and influence.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and design software (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop).
  • Experience in graphic design, photography, video or podcast content valued.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and grow FMA social media channels and online communities, ensuring engaging, audience-focused content.
  • Create high-quality written, visual and multimedia content for internal and external audiences.
  • Support delivery and promotion of the FMA podcast programme.
  • Update internal channels (Intranet Atea, Viva Engage).
  • Lead graphic design and create visual assets for digital/print channels.
  • Monitor, measure and evaluate social media performance and engagement.
  • Support planning and delivery of communications campaigns and initiatives.
  • Provide trusted communications advice across the organisation.
