Job summary

Goodman Fielder New Zealand seeks a Commercial Finance Business Partner to collaborate with Marketing, Sales and R&D, turning insights into profitable growth across iconic NZ brands. You’ll shape commercial strategy, lead investment cases and provide financial leadership for marketing and innovation initiatives.

You will influence senior stakeholders, build strong partnerships and drive best-in-class budgeting, forecasting and performance analysis in a fast-paced FMCG environment.

Qualifications

• CA/CPA/CIMA qualification or working towards one.
• Experience in Commercial Finance or Finance Business Partnering.
• Strong commercial acumen and financial modelling.
• Excellent communication and presentation abilities.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Marketing, Sales and R&D to shape commercial strategy and investment decisions.
• Lead financial modelling and business cases for innovation, new product development and growth initiatives.
• Challenge assumptions and influence investment decisions to maximise profitable growth.
• Translate financial data into clear, actionable insights for senior stakeholders.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting and performance analysis across innovation and marketing portfolios.
• Evaluate and track ROI of marketing, innovation and strategic growth initiatives.
• Present recommendations that influence decisions and drive business performance.
• Identify opportunities to improve commercial processes, reporting and decision support.
