Job summary

Datacom seeks a Commercial and Contracts Manager to own end-to-end agreements with vendors, customers and partners. You will balance business objectives with risk, lead negotiations and structure terms to protect value while enabling growth.

Collaborating with Sales, Legal, Procurement and Finance, you ensure clear contracts and effective governance. This hands-on, strategic role suits a proactive problem-solver in a fast-paced environment and offers opportunities to shape commercial outcomes

Qualifications

• Strong financial management practices with clear link between costs, utilisation and project revenue.
• Strong business acumen.
• 10+ years of Account Management experience, with 3+ years in commercial/Legal roles in NZ or Australia.
• Demonstrated experience in managing people and teams.
• Excellent customer relationship building and management skills.
• Judgment in selecting methods and establishing budgets, schedules and performance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Review and approve documents to protect the company’s contractual posture.
• Advise management on contractual rights and obligations and interpret terms.
• Provide guidance within policy to meet schedules and resolve issues.
• Recommend policy changes and establish procedures affecting the company.
• Establish and maintain systems for operational measurement across the Customer division.
• Monitor, measure and report on department issues, opportunities and progress.
• Implement a health and safety culture aligned with Datacom policy.
