Job summary

Aon is seeking a Commercial Client Manager in Ashburton to develop and grow a diverse client portfolio across Agri and Commercial segments. You will identify new business opportunities, collaborate with clients, underwriters and stakeholders to build tailored strategies that drive retention and long-term value.

This 12-month parental cover role focuses on client servicing, renewals, and proposal preparation, with strong emphasis on communication and brokerage expertise.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in insurance broking and portfolio management.
• Strong client servicing and communication skills.
• L5 Fire and General Qualification required.

Responsibilities

• Manage Agri and Commercial client servicing requirements.
• Identify opportunities for growth within existing and new business.
• Provide professional responses to client needs with external stakeholders.
• Prepare proposals for new business opportunities.
• Coordinate renewals and prepare premium calculations.

As a Commercial Client Manager, you will be entrusted with developing and growing a diverse client portfolio of both Agri and Commercial clients, identifying new business opportunities, and strengthening strategic partnerships. Bringing your technical broking expertise, you'll collaborate with clients, underwriters, and Aon stakeholders to develop tailored strategies that create value, drive retention, and support long-term success.

Please note: this is a 12 month parental cover opportunity

Some of your responsibilities will include:

• Managing both Agri and Commercial client servicing requirements
• Identifying opportunities for growth both within your existing client base and new business
• Providing professional, accurate and efficient responses to client needs through liaison with external stakeholders!
• Preparing proposals for new business opportunities
• Coordinating client renewals and preparing premium calculations

Skills and experience that will lead to success

You will have proven experience in insurance broking and managing your portfolio, not only that but you will have the ability to deliver high quality client services and have exceptional communication skills.

A few other key requirement will be:

• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
• L5 Fire and General Qualification!
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to juggle multiple responsibilities
• Competency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
