Job summary

Honest Cleaning Service Limited in Canterbury is hiring two full-time cleaners for the Canterbury region. The roles are permanent with a minimum of 30 hours per week and a rotating weekend roster, with hours outside normal times as required.

No prior experience is required as training is provided on the job. A Class 1 driving licence is preferred, and priority will be given to local NZ residents or citizens. Shortlisted applicants will be contacted.

Responsibilities

• Vacuuming carpets, curtains and furniture.
• Cleaning, dusting and polishing furniture, fixtures and fittings.
• Removing rubbish and recyclable material; emptying containers and bins.
• Cleaning and disinfecting fixtures.
• Operating industrial vacuum cleaners and cleaning carpets with industrial machines.
• Removing dust from ceilings, walls and fixtures; cleaning toilets.

Job description

We are looking for 2 cleaners for Canterbury region, we are offering a Full-time (minimum 30 hours/per week), Permanent role for 2 cleaner positions. Our pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour depending on skills and experience given the nature of our business, you will be required to work on a rotating roster on the weekends and outside the normal working hours whenever required.

• A consistent and exceptional routine and time management skills
• Knowledge and proficiency in cleaning, hygiene, waste, and other relevant services is preferred.
• Ability to use industrial cleaning and laundry equipment
• Must be available to work late nights
• Needed to do a drug test & Ministry of Justice Check if required.

The right candidates and are expected to perform the below tasks:

• Vacuuming carpets, curtains and furniture
• Cleaning, dusting and polishing furniture, fixtures and fittings
• Removing rubbish and recyclable material, and emptying - containers, bins and trays
• Cleaning and disinfecting fixtures
• Operating industrial vacuum cleaners to clean floors, work areas and machines and cleaning carpets with industrial machines
• Removing dust and dirt from ceilings, walls, overhead pipes and fixtures
• Applying acids and solvents to surfaces to remove stains and dirt and cleaning toilets

Qualifications

No previous experience or qualification will be required, as training is offered on the job.

Must have Class 1 - Driving licence
