Hunter Campbell in Tauranga seeks a high-performing strategist to translate priorities into actionable plans. Reporting to the CEO, you will guide cross-functional teams, build business cases, and shape executive decision material.
This role offers enterprise-wide exposure, pricing strategy work, and a clear career pathway with senior stakeholder engagement and change initiatives.
A successful large, well-established New Zealand business operating in a genuinely complex commercial environment. It’s an exciting time to join, with a future-focused strategy recently set, and meaningful projects to deliver. The scale of the business gives you real breadth, and the pace means you learn quickly.
Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, you will work alongside the CEO and Executive Leadership Team to translate strategy into actionable, well-run projects. You will work with key leaders to translate priorities into plans, business cases, and delivered outcomes across the organisation.
The remit is deliberately broad. In any given quarter, you might be building the business case for an enterprise initiative, leading a review of the organisation's pricing approach, coordinating a cross-functional project team, or preparing the material that shapes an executive or Board decision. There are no direct reports in this role. Your influence comes from the quality of your thinking and your ability to bring people with you.
This role has been designed with a career pathway in mind. It exists to give a high performer an enterprise-wide view of how a complex business actually works, and to build the commercial and leadership foundation for future roles.
You connect the dots. You can sit in a room with an executive team, understand what they are actually trying to achieve, and translate it into something the business can execute. You are commercially savvy and analytically strong, but your real strength is people. You build relationships quickly, you influence without authority, and you bring teams together across functions to get things done.
You are resilient, and you want to learn. This is a role for someone ambitious about where they are heading and with a desire for continuous improvement.
Few roles give you executive exposure this early in your career. You will work shoulder to shoulder with the CEO and executive team, see how strategy is set and delivered across every function, and build a track record that positions you for career development and growth in the business.
