Job summary

YY Nation is seeking a commercially minded Chartered Accountant to join our Lower Hutt/Wellington team in a permanent part-time role (25 hours+ per week). You will own accounts processing, monthly management accounts, budgets, payroll, and system improvements under the Founder’s leadership.

The role requires CA ANZ, 5+ years of commercial accounting, NZ GST/payroll knowledge, and advanced Excel/Xero skills. You’ll influence diverse business systems in a growing footwear brand.

Qualifications

• Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA ANZ) – Essential.
• Commercial accounting experience, preferrable 5+ years.
• Experience preparing monthly and annual financial statements.
• Strong understanding of New Zealand taxation, GST and payroll.
• Advanced Excel and Xero skills.

This is a unique opportunity for a commercially minded and experienced Chartered Accountant, working 25 plus hours per week, who enjoys hands-on execution. Working closely with the Founder and leadership team, you'll take ownership of the Accounts processing, reporting and some operational administration that underpins the business. From preparing monthly management accounts, assisting in budgets, to processing payroll, inventory costings, and improving business systems, no two days are the same.

About you

Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA ANZ) – Essential
