Job summary

All Trades Contract Services Ltd – Waikato District, North Island is seeking a skilled CNC Machine Operator to join our team. You will work with Hyundai CNC Lathes and Mills to produce precision parts and turned components, interpreting technical drawings and CAD models producing CAM programmes.

Permanent contract with a starting wage of $30.00 to $35.00 per hour and a minimum of 30 hours per week. A minimum of 3 years relevant experience is required, with emphasis on quality and safety.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years relevant experience.
• Permanent contract with a minimum of 30 hours per week.

• Interpret technical drawings and CAD models to produce CAM programmes.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate Hyundai CNC Lathes and Mills to produce precision parts.
• Load materials and monitor machining processes.
• Adjust machine settings and tool offsets to ensure quality and efficiency.
• Inspect finished products using calipers, micrometers and precision measuring tools.
• Maintain equipment and perform routine preventive maintenance.
• Maintain accurate production records and follow job orders.
• Follow safety procedures and keep a clean workspace.
• Collaborate with engineers and quality control to meet specifications.
• Assist in developing manufacturing processes to optimise performance.
• Train others in machine operation.
• Complete timesheets and work cards daily.

About the role:

• Starting wage of $30.00 to $35.00 per hour

• Minimum guranteed 30 hours per week.
• Minimum of 3 years relevant experience.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate CNC Lathes and Mills (Hyundai) to produce precision parts and turned components.
• Interpret technical drawings and CAD models producing CAM programmes.
• Load materials into machines and monitor machining processes.
• Adjust machine settings and tool offsets to ensure quality and efficiency.
• Inspect finished products using calipers, micrometers, & precision measuring tools.
• Maintain equipment and perform routine preventive maintenance.
• Maintain accurate production records and adhere to job order specifications.
• Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Collaborate with engineers and quality control to ensure specifications are met.
• Assist in the development of new and existing manufacturing processes and procedures to optimise performance
• Train other personnel in the use of the machines and techniques.
• Daily completion of timesheets and work cards
• Carry out any other duties within the capability of the job holder.
