Job summary

Vista Group is seeking a Senior Security Engineer to own the Vista Cloud Cloudflare estate, ensuring governance, security, reliability and repeatable engineering practices across IaC, GitOps and controlled delivery.

You will collaborate with Platform Engineering and Infrastructure, maintain security tooling like Elastic SIEM and Threat intel, and drive detection engineering aligned with MITRE ATT&CK.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience administering and engineering enterprise Cloudflare environments.
• Experience managing configuration through infrastructure-as-code, GitOps, CI/CD pipelines, automation, and change control.
• Background in cloud security engineering, platform security, security operations engineering, or related discipline.
• Experience with SIEM, runtime security, vulnerability management, threat intelligence, or other security tooling platforms.
• Ability to work across engineering, operations, and security teams pragmatically.
• Strong documentation and runbook discipline.

Responsibilities

• Own Vista Cloud’s Cloudflare environment across security and governance.
• Design and maintain Cloudflare configs for WAF, bot mitigation, rate limiting, access controls.
• Manage Cloudflare changes via IaC and GitOps; minimize UI changes.
• Integrate Cloudflare with Vista Cloud architecture.
• Provide ownership for Vista’s security tooling stack.
• Maintain platform health and hygiene across security platforms.
• Create runbooks and standards for operational continuity.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to tailor security controls.
