Job summary

Our Clinic in central Wellington is seeking a dedicated Healthcare Assistant for a fixed-term role from October 2026 to May 2027, offering up to 40 hours per week. You will work closely with nurses and doctors to provide high-quality patient care and help the clinic run safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities include assisting with minor procedures, preparing clinical rooms, maintaining cleanliness, and supporting administrative tasks while adhering to infection prevention and privacy

Qualifications

• Previous experience in healthcare or clinical support is an advantage, training will be provided for the right candidate.

Responsibilities

• Assist doctors with minor surgical procedures.
• Support nurses and doctors with patient care and clinical assessments.
• Prepare clinical rooms and ensure equipment/supplies are ready for use.
• Maintain clean and dirty utility areas, clean equipment, and manage instrument sanitiser.
• Assist with administrative tasks related to patient care.
• Follow infection prevention, health and safety, privacy, and confidentiality requirements.
• Contribute to the efficient day-to-day running of the clinic.
