Job summary
Health New Zealand – Te Whatu Ora Capital, Coast & Hutt Valley is seeking an Integrated Operations Centre Clinical Resource Nurse (CRN) for a fixed term, part-time 0.5 FTE, Jan 2027 to Nov 2027. You will provide clinical expertise, mentoring, and support to the Duty Nurse Manager, ensuring safe service delivery across Wellington Regional and Kenepuru hospitals.
You’ll coordinate with medical and allied teams, support care planning, and drive continuous improvement in staffing and bed management
Qualifications
- Current Annual Practising Certificate required.
- Postgraduate Certificate in Nursing preferred for the role.
- NZRC Core Advanced certification or equivalent essential.
Responsibilities
- Review patient acuity and staffing assignments.
- Conduct rounds, assess priorities, assist with complex cases.
- Coordinate with physicians and allied health for discharge plans.
- Provide coaching and clinical education to nurses.
- Respond to MET calls and clinical emergencies as a resource.
- Monitor adherence to policies and infection control practices.
- Update staffing plans and participate in quality projects.
- Review patient outcomes and ensure continuity of care.
