Job summary

Radius Care is seeking a registered Nurse Manager to lead clinical services at Radius Baycare in Haruru Falls, Paihia. The role focuses on clinical leadership, quality of care, and audit readiness within a 45-bed facility.

You will mentor nursing staff, support the Facility Manager, and foster a person-centred approach for residents and families in a compliant, safe environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years in aged care leadership or management.
• Nursing degree and APC.
• InterRAI trained or willing to complete training.
• Experience with clinical governance and audits.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical leadership and ensure best practice standards.
• Mentor and develop nursing staff through education, coaching and performance reviews.
• Ensure compliance with Health & Disability Sector Standards and Radius policies.
• Prepare for internal and external audits to maintain certification.

Hours of work: Full time, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday

About the role:

Radius Baycare is a 45-bed, with rest home and hospital levels. As a Nurse Manager, you will be responsible for clinical leadership and management within the facility, working closely with the Facility Manager to ensure compliance, quality care, and a person-centered approach. You will mentor and support nursing staff, maintain audit readiness, and foster a positive team culture.

• Provide clinical leadership and ensure best practice standards are consistently delivered.
• Manage and support nursing staff through education, mentoring, and performance reviews.
• Ensure quality and compliance with Health & Disability Sector Standards and Radius policies.
• Prepare for and support internal and external audits to maintain certification standards.
• Foster strong relationships with residents, families, and external health professionals.
• Oversee health and safety practices, ensuring a safe environment for residents and staff.

What we're looking for:

• 3+ years previous aged care experience preferred
• Nursing Degree and current APC
• InterRAI trained
• Experience in clinical or management in a continuing care hospital facility
• Management and administration skills
• Proficiency in clinical administrative software system, electronic health records and general IT tools
• People skills, with empathy for the elderly and their families
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
