Summerset Retirement Villages in Napier is seeking a Clinical Nurse Lead to guide our Care Centre team, ensuring high standards of aged care and clinical governance.

The role reports to the Care Centre Manager, focuses on mentoring staff, regulatory compliance, and coordinating clinical care across residents with a person-centered approach.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with NZNC practising certificate.
• PDRP level 2-4 is required.
• Aged care experience in NZ preferred.

Responsabilités

• Provide leadership and clinical guidance to the Care Centre team.
• Collaborate with Care Centre Manager to ensure safe operation of the care team.
• Engage in Summerset quality management programme and continuous improvement.
• Consult with residents and advocates to establish expectations of care and service delivery.
• Act as a clinical liaison with health care team members including pharmacists and allied health.

Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for a passionate leader to join our care team as a Clinical Nurse Lead at Summerset in the Bay. Reporting to the Care Centre Manager, this role will help to provide leadership, support and clinical guidance to our incredible Care Centre team.

Role Responsibilities

• Assist in providing clinical guidance, day to day direction, and leadership to the Care Centre team.
• Working closely with Care Centre Manager to help support safe operation of the care team.
• Active involvement with the Summerset quality management programme.
• Consult with residents and their advocates to establish shared expectations of care and service delivery
• Acting as a clinical liaison for health care team members with a key focus on the primary care team, pharmacists, podiatrists, physiotherapist, dietitian, and specialist services that are required for individual residents.

This is a full time role working Monday - Friday from 7am - 3:30pm.

Qualifications

You’ll bring experience in a clinical environment with a deep understanding of the aged care sector and Te Whatu Ora standards. You’ll be an experienced Clinical Nurse Lead with solid aged care experience in New Zealand and also:

• A Registered Nurse with a current NZNC practising certificate and your PDRP achieved to level 2-4
• A high degree of clinical expertise ideally in the aged care sector
• Computer literacy including clinical care systems
• A team player with a strong commitment to be a positive influence, coach and mentor
• A skilled communicator with a proven ability to build positive relationships
• InterRAI trained with Syringe Driver competency
