Canterbury District Health Board is seeking an experienced Allied Health Clinical Manager for the Child Development Service at Christchurch Campus. This fixed-term role provides professional leadership to a diverse team, drives clinical excellence, and guides service development and care pathways.

You will manage performance, productivity and budget considerations, oversee clinical safety, and partner with the Director of Allied Health to deliver high-quality patient care across te Whatu Ora

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in the relevant profession.
• NZ Registration with the relevant professional body.
• Current Annual Practising Certificate.
• Minimum 5 years of clinical work experience in the relevant field of specialty.
• Minimum 3 years senior leadership experience at a management level.
• Knowledge of change management and quality improvement methodology.
• Knowledge in financial management and budget management.
• Experience with clinical teaching/supervision, training and staff development.
• Experience making judgments in complex situations and being a proactive problem solver.
• Post-graduate diploma (leadership or clinical), or evidence of ongoing professional development.
• Knowledge of NZ Health & Disability sector standards and the Privacy Act.
