Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in the relevant profession.
• NZ Registration with the relevant professional body.
• Annual Practising Certificate with the relevant professional body.
• Minimum 5 years of clinical work experience in the relevant field.
• Minimum 3 years senior leadership experience at a management level.
• Knowledge of change management and Quality Improvement methodology.
• Knowledge in financial management and budget management.
• Experience with clinical teaching/supervision and staff development.
• Post-graduate diploma in leadership or clinical, or evidence of ongoing development.
• Knowledge of NZ Health & Disability sector standards and Privacy Act.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical leadership to the Child Development Service.
• Oversee professional leadership, cultural competence, business and operational management.
• Foster excellence in practice standards and professional conduct.
• Ensure clinical safety of the Child Development workforce.
• Develop, provide and monitor a quality, cost-effective clinical service.
• Collaborate with the Director of Allied Health and senior leaders to meet targets.
