Job summary

Totally Vets is seeking an enthusiastic Client Services person to join our Customer Services Team in Taumarunui. This is a full-time role, Monday to Friday, focused on delivering excellent customer service to animal owners and farm clients.

Key duties include greeting clients, scheduling appointments, answering animal health questions, handling calls, and supporting veterinarians with administration. A rural/agricultural background is advantageous and training will be provided.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service or related roles preferred.
• Knowledge of Taumarunui area and geography desirable.
• Veterinary practice experience beneficial.
• Willingness to learn and receive training.

Responsibilities

• Provide first point of contact for clients and visitors.
• Book appointments for clients.
• Answer animal health questions.
• Telephone contact and follow-up calls.
• Provide sales advice and product knowledge.
• End of Day processing and banking.
• Administration support for veterinarians.

About Taumarunui

Taumarunui is situated only 45 minutes from Whakapapa ski field - one of NZ's largest ski areas, and the Tongariro National Park – a World Heritage Area which boasts one of thebest one-day treks in New Zealand, the Tongariro Crossing.

About the Role

We are looking for an enthusiastic Client Services person to join our Customer Services Team.

This is a full time position, working Monday to Friday.

We are looking for people who have the following qualities:

• A passion for customer service, with excellent communication skills
• Enjoys working in a busy environment and being busy all day
• Rural, farming, or agricultural experience and knowledge
• Veterinary practice experience and knowledge
• Good knowledge of the Taumarunui area and geographical locations
• Previous experience in managing calls, booking diaries and appointments
• Ability to work under pressure, to multi-task and to use initiative
• Confident, positive personality with strong interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a team environment with a focus on detail and going the extra mile
