New Zealand Avis Rent A Car Limited is seeking a casual Vehicle Service Agent at Nelson Airport to prepare and return vehicles to a high standard for customers. The role involves cleaning vehicles, inspecting for damage, and accurately recording vehicle data during handover.

Training is provided and you will work within a supportive team in a fast-paced environment. The position offers casual hours with training provided, parking, and opportunities for growth within a global car rental group.

Qualifications

• Full, clean, valid class 1 driver’s licence is essential for this role.
• Previous experience in a hands-on or physical labouring role.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment delivering a high standard of work.
• Ability to follow procedures and adhere to company guidelines and standards.

Responsibilities

• Clean interior and exterior of vehicles: wash, vacuum, and prepare returned vehicles.
• Assess vehicles for new damages and report per damage procedure.
• Record fuel levels, kilometres, and input data into handheld devices.
• Refuel gas tanks, check fluid levels, tires, and tread depth.

We have a fantastic team who keeps our fleet looking like new which is essential to our operations. We currently have a casual role available, working as and when needed. So if you aren’t afraid of hard work and have a keen eye to detail then this could be for you! Casual position available - working only as and when needed Nelson Airport based Entry level position with training provided

About the Role

As what we call a Vehicle Service Agent, you will be a key component to our operations and will be responsible for checking and preparing our vehicles to ensure they are in the best condition possible for our customers.

• Preparing the interior and exterior of our vehicles by cleaning, washing, and vacuuming all returned vehicles
• Assessing vehicle for any potential new damages and report it as per our vehicle damage procedure.
• Reviewing returned vehicle gas levels and car kilometres and accurately inputting them into our hand-held devices as required
• Refuelling gas tanks, checking fluid levels and tyre conditions along with pressure and tread depth.

What we are looking for:

• Full, clean, valid class 1 driver’s licence is essential for this role.
• Previous experience in a hands-on or physical labouring role
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment in all weather conditions delivering a high standard of work.
• Ability to follow procedures and adhere to company guidelines and standards.

Based at the Nelson Airport, we operate 7 days a week in the Washbay we work from 7.30 am to 8.30 pm. For the casual role we would call you as and when needed to work during our operating hours.
