Job summary

Te Takarangi invites an energetic, competent and experienced classroom teacher to lead our senior class of Year 6 to Year 8, at our rural school 20 minutes north of Kerikeri.

You must have had experience with teaching older primary students, be confident with te reo Māori and te ao Māori, and have recent training in structured literacy. We value constructive relationships that foster calm and respectful learning environments.

Qualifications

Te Takarangi is a small rural school 20 minutes north of Kerikeri. We sit in the heart of Ngāti Rēhia and are very proud of the local iwi and whenua.

We are looking for an energetic, competent and experienced classroom teacher to teach our senior class of Year 6 to Year 8 students.

You must have had experience with teaching older primary students, be confident with te reo Māori and te ao Māori, have had recent experience and training in teaching structured literacy and are skilled at building constructive relationships with students so that they are ready to learn in a calm and respectful environment.
