Malwa Transport 2023 Limitet is seeking skilled and reliable drivers for New Plymouth-based routes. This full-time role offers hourly pay, with regular early-morning shifts across New Plymouth, Palmerston North and Auckland.

The position requires a Class 5 license, safe reversing skills, and a minimum of one year of truck driving experience. Applicants should be flexible to work weekends and regional shifts, with the ability to securely manage loads and complete logs.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 5 driver’s license.
• Must be confident to reverse a truck and trailer.
• 1 year of truck driving experience minimum.
• Able to work early mornings, weekends, and flexible hours.
• Physical fitness to handle load securing and daily tasks.
• Good time management and ability to meet delivery deadlines.
• Strong communication with customers, dispatch and other drivers.
• Pre-employment drug testing and police reference checks completed.
• Willing to work in all three regions.

Responsibilities

• Operate Class 5 vehicles to transport goods to designated locations.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections for safety and compliance.
• Follow road safety regulations and company policies.
• Complete delivery paperwork and logs; communicate with dispatch regularly.
• Reverse truck and trailer combinations safely in varied environments.
• Handle and secure loads to prevent damage during transport.
