Job summary

Allied Bulk is seeking an experienced Class 5 Driver to join our New Plymouth team, operating the New Plymouth–Waitoa night linehaul route. You’ll complete the return run each night as part of an established transport crew.

Your week starts 8pm Monday and finishes Saturday morning, delivering a permanent role with weekend work and a night shift allowance after three months. Reliability, safety and night-time independence are essential.

Qualifications

• Current Class 5 licence.
• Proven heavy vehicle driving experience.
• Strong commitment to safety.
• Reliability and good time management.
• Confidence working independently at night.

Responsibilities

• Operate the New Plymouth–Waitoa night linehaul route, completing the return run each night as part of an experienced transport team.
• Ensure freight moves securely and on time while maintaining high safety standards.

Some drivers like watching the sun come up from behind the wheel. Others would rather be asleep. We’re looking for the first kind.

Allied Bulk is looking for an experienced Class 5 Driver to join our New Plymouth team, operating our regular night linehaul run between New Plymouth and Waitoa.

Your working week starts at 8pm Monday and finishes Saturday morning, giving you a consistent run, permanent work and your weekends back. And once you’ve been with us for three months, you’ll also receive a night shift allowance .

The job

This isn’t a role where you’ll wonder what you’re doing from one day to the next. You’ll operate our established New Plymouth-Waitoa linehaul route, completing the return run each night and working as part of an experienced transport team.

We’re looking for someone who knows their way around a Class 5 unit, takes pride in doing the job properly and understands that reliability matters when you’re the one keeping freight moving overnight.
