Job summary

Allied Concrete Penrose is seeking an experienced Class 4 driver to deliver ready‑mix concrete across the Auckland region. You will join a friendly crew focused on safety, reliability, and excellent customer service.

The role offers a minimum guaranteed 40 hours per week with a pay rate of $30.00 - $35.00 per hour, with full uniform and PPE supplied to start immediately.

Qualifications

• NZ Class 4 driver licence (or willingness to upgrade from Class 2)
• At least 1 year of heavy vehicle driving experience
• Strong communication and customer service skills

Responsibilities

• Operate a Class 4 concrete truck safely and efficiently
• Deliver ready-mix concrete to customer sites across Auckland
• Perform daily vehicle safety checks and basic maintenance

The Opportunity

This is a full-time role delivering ready-mix concrete across the Auckland region. You'll be part of a friendly crew that works together to get the job done right, safely, efficiently and with great customer service.

We supply your full uniform and PPE, so you're ready to hit the road from day one. The position offers a minimum guaranteed 40 hours per week, with a pay rate of $30.00 - $35.00 per hour depending on skills, licenses and experience.

Key responsibilities include

• Operating a Class 4 concrete truck safety and efficiently
• Delivering ready-mix concrete to customer sites across Auckland
• Completing daily vehicle safety checks and basic maintenance
• Following all health and safety procedures and company policies

What we're looking for

You'll bring more than just driving skills, we want someone who shows up on time, communicates well with customers, and puts safety first every time. Flexibility is key, with early starts and varied hours a part of the role.

• A current New Zealand Class 4 Driver Licence (or a class 2 manual licence and the willingness to learn)
• At least 1 year of relevant heavy vehicle driving experience preferred
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• A commitment to safe work practices
• The flexibility to work early starts and varied hours when required
• The ability to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test
