Job summary

Fliway Group is hiring a Class 2 Driver for our Whangārei operation. You’ll safely deliver and collect customer freight while ensuring secure handling and accurate paperwork. This hands-on role includes scanning, loading/unloading, and delivering exceptional customer service.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid Class 2 licence with HT endorsement.
• DG endorsement is advantageous but not essential.
• Physical ability for lifting, pushing, pulling, and moving freight.
• Experience in freight handling, transport, or logistics is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a Class 2 vehicle in line with company and road safety requirements.
• Deliver and collect freight accurately and efficiently.
• Complete required scanning, documentation, and freight processing activities.
• Assist with manual unloading of linehaul vehicles.
• Ensure freight is loaded, secured and handled safely.
• Provide exceptional customer service and represent the Fliway/SCS brand professionally.
• Collaborate with team to meet operational goals.
• Manage daily workloads and delivery schedules.

About the Role

We are seeking a Class 2 Driver to join our team in Whangārei.
In this role, you'll be responsible for the safe and efficient collection and delivery of customer freight while ensuring products are handled securely and arrive in excellent condition. You'll also complete required scanning, documentation, and freight processing tasks, while supporting your wider team as required.

This is a hands-on position where no two days are the same. Your day may include loading and unloading freight, making deliveries, processing paperwork, and delivering exceptional customer service.

• Manage daily workloads and delivery schedules effectively.

What You'll Bring

• A clean Class 2 licence with HT endorsement.
• Strong work ethic with a reliable and positive attitude.
• Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting, pushing, pulling, and moving freight using hand trolleys and pallet jacks.
• Previous experience in freight handling, transport, or logistics environments.
• Excellent time management and organisational skills.
• Strong attention to detail, particularly with freight documentation and paperwork.
• A proactive, can-do attitude and willingness to support the wider team.
• Outstanding customer service and communication skills.
• Experience using hand trolleys and pallet jacks.
• A current Dangerous Goods (DG) endorsement is advantageous but not essential.
