Job summary

Fletcher Building Limited is seeking a permanent full-time delivery driver at our Hastings/Havelock North location. You will collect and deliver orders across the region, support the local branch, and assist in-store during busy periods.

The role requires a full NZ Class 2 or 4 licence, HIAB crane experience, and a fit, customer-focused attitude. You will work 42.5 hours per week Monday–Friday with rostered Saturdays.

Qualifications

• Hold a full, clean NZ Class 2 or 4 licence.
• HIAB crane operation experience is essential.
• Be physically fit due to manual handling and heavy lifting.
• Excellent manner with people, especially customers.
• Reliable with a strong health & safety attitude.

Responsibilities

• Collect customer orders and deliver across the region.
• Support Hastings branch with deliveries in Hawkes Bay area.
• Full-Time driving with manual handling and crane access.
• Safely delivering orders while providing exceptional service.
• Support the team to ensure customers receive outstanding service.
• Assist in-store when required serving customers.

Job description

Delivering orders to our customers in a timely, professional, and safe manner. We use a range of hassle-free, modern-day apps and hand-held technology, limiting the need for drivers to complete lengthy paperwork, saving you time, and making your life easier.

A fast-paced and physical role, you will be part of our Hastings Branch Team, safely delivering orders to our customers whilst ensuring that we always provide exceptional service. You will also be supporting our team in the store during busy periods.

Daily responsibilities include:

• Collecting customer orders and completing deliveries to our customers across the region
• Supporting our local branch with deliveries throughout the Hawkes Bay area
• Full-Time driving responsibilities, with a manual handling aspect inclusive of crane access
• Safely delivering orders to our customers whilst ensuring that we always provide exceptional service
• Supporting the team to ensure our customers are receiving an exceptional service
• Assisting in store when required serving customers

This is a permanent full-time role, offering 42.5 hours a week, Monday-Friday + Rostered Saturdays based in our Havelock North branch.

Skills and Experience:

• Hold a full, clean Class 2 or 4 NZ Drivers Licence
• HIAB Crane operation experience is essential
• Have an excellent manner with people, especially customers
• Be physically fit as manual handling and heavy lifting are a requirement
• Be reliable and have a good attitude towards health & safety
