Job summary

Platinum Recruitment in Southland, New Zealand, is seeking a Bid Writer to coordinate civil tenders across its operations. The role involves turning technical information into compelling submissions, balancing deadlines and collaborating with estimating, operations and commercial teams to deliver accurate, persuasive bids.

You will work with internal stakeholders to refine content, improve outcomes and tailor responses to clients, while drawing on previous bid learnings to strengthen future

Qualifications

• Experience coordinating or managing multiple bids, tenders or proposals.
• Strong written communication skills and the ability to turn technical information into compelling content.
• Good commercial judgment and an understanding of what makes a strong tender submission.
• Confidence working with internal stakeholders and contributing to client discussions.
• Civil construction, infrastructure or related technical industry background.
• Strong MS Office skills; Power BI or estimating software exposure would be useful but isn’t essential.

Responsibilities

• Writing clear, persuasive and well-structured tender responses.
• Coordinating multiple bids, contributors and competing deadlines.
• Working with estimating, operations and commercial teams to bring together pricing, methodology, risk and compliance information.
• Supporting client submissions, clarifications and negotiations throughout the tender process.
• Reviewing previous bid outcomes and applying lessons learned to strengthen future submissions.
