Job summary

Wilson Contractors in Queenstown is seeking a Project/Site Engineer to manage civil contracting projects around the Queenstown Lakes District and Central Otago. Based at the Queenstown branch, you will lead delivery, coordinate teams, and ensure safety, quality, and schedule compliance.

The ideal candidate will hold a BE, NZCE, or NZ Diploma in Engineering, have a current NZ Driver’s Licence, and 3+ years civil engineering experience in New Zealand. Residency or a valid NZ Work Visa is required.

Qualifications

• A BE, National Diploma in Engineering, or NZCE.
• A current Drivers Licence.
• 3+ years civil engineering experience in New Zealand.

Responsibilities

• Efficiently and effective management of contracts and assigned staff
• Complete civil construction projects in accordance with design specifications
• Plan construction methods and ensure delivery is safe and efficient
• Carry out operations to minimise our impact on the environment
• Day to day running and administration of project is effective
• Job records are captured, and invoicing is correct
• Ensure work is adequately controlled and supervised to meet customer, job time and cost budgets
• Manage the preparation and implementation of contract quality plans
• Oversee or complete testing as required by Quality Plans
• Complete programmes for contracts and monitor their completion to ensure they are completed in the agreed time frame.
