Job summary

HEB Construction is seeking a Project Engineer in Wellington to support a portfolio of civil projects across the region. You will work with the PM to deliver on time and to budget while focusing on safety and quality, and you will take ownership to hit the ground running.

The role involves providing technical advice, managing project teams and subcontractors, and collaborating with managers and stakeholders to ensure client satisfaction and safe delivery on site.

Qualifications

• Civil Engineering degree, equivalent qualification, or years of experience in Tier 1/2
• Proven experience in 3W water, pump stations and treatment plants, utilities, roading, deep trenching, earthworks, and other heavy civil construction projects
• Good interpersonal skills and ability to communicate clearly
• Financial acumen to deliver projects within budget
• Experience managing a diverse team and range of projects

Responsibilities

• Deliver quality civils projects within time and budget parameters, and to the client's satisfaction
• Provide specialised technical advice as appropriate
• Manage and motivate effective project teams and sub-contractors
• Champion health and safety
• Work alongside managers and stakeholders
