Job summary

Unite Recruit is hiring Civil Machine Operators in New Zealand for roles around drainage, earthworks and road construction. Pay rates vary by experience and machine type, with ongoing opportunities and potential client employment.

Successful applicants will hold a current NZ licence (Class 2/4/5 as required), WTR endorsements, and a minimum of 2+ years operating civil construction machinery. Competitive hourly rates, weekly pay, and referral bonuses are offered.

Qualifications

• Current NZ Driver Licence (Class 2/4/5) depending on machinery.
• WTR Endorsements.
• Minimum 2+ years’ experience operating civil construction machinery.
• Experience in drainage, earthworks, or road construction preferred.
• Strong understanding of safe operating procedures.
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently or in a team.

Successful applicants will have:

• A current New Zealand Class 2, 4, or 5 Driver Licence (depending on machinery and transport requirements)
• WTR Endorsements
• Minimum 2+ years’ experience operating civil construction machinery
• Experience in drainage, earthworks, or road construction preferred
• Strong understanding of safe operating procedures
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Good communication and time management skills
