Job summary

Placements24 is recruiting a Civil Infrastructure Engineer for a fully remote role based in New Zealand. You will plan and design roads, drainage, water and sewer networks, using AutoCAD, Civil 3D and hydraulic/hydrology tools.

You will manage projects, perform feasibility studies, liaise with clients, mentor junior staff, and ensure compliance with standards and environmental regulations while delivering high-quality, sustainable infrastructure solutions remotely.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Pr Eng or Pr Tech Eng registration with ECSA required.
• Minimum 6 years' progressive experience in design and management of civil infrastructure.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D and hydraulic/hydrology modeling tools.
• Strong knowledge of municipal services design, road design and earthworks.
• Experience with environmental impact assessments and regulatory approvals.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication; able to work remotely.
• Proven ability to coordinate projects and liaise with clients.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Professional Engineer (Pr Eng) or Professional Engineering Technologist (Pr Tech Eng) registration with ECSA is required.
• Minimum of 6 years of progressive experience in the design and management of civil infrastructure projects.
• Proficiency in civil engineering design software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and relevant hydraulic/hydrology modeling tools.
• Strong understanding of municipal services design, road design, and earthworks.
• Experience with environmental impact assessments and regulatory approval processes.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
