Job summary

Fox Environmental Limited – Christchurch, South Island is seeking a graduate or intermediate Civil Engineer or Water Resources Engineer to work across land, water or the environment, using technology and practical thinking to solve problems for clients and communities.

You will take ownership, contribute ideas and shape your career around the work that interests you. Opportunities exist to grow in stormwater, land development and road design within a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Civil or Natural Resources Engineering degree (NZ or overseas equivalent).
• Up to 5 years work experience, preferably in New Zealand.
• Must hold New Zealand Work Visa.
• Excellent written and spoken communication.
• Team oriented with good time management to meet project timeframes.

Responsibilities

• Work in 3 waters engineering with a focus on stormwater management including design of treatment and attenuation systems.
• Land Development engineering: design, approvals at local or regional councils, contract and construction management.
• Civil Roading: design through to delivery experience.
• Contribute ideas and take ownership of projects.

Key responsibilities

• Work in 3 waters engineering with a focus on stormwater management including design of treatment and attenuation systems
• Land Development engineering: design, approvals at the local council or regional council level, contract and construction management
• Civil Roading; from design through to delivery experience
• Contribute ideas and take ownership of projects

About you

• Have a civil or natural resources engineering degree (NZ or overseas equivalent)
• Be technically minded and practical with up to 5 years work experience, preferably in New Zealand
• Be client focused and organised, with good time management to meet project timeframes and quality standards
• Have excellent communications skills - written and verbal
• Can operate in a team environment and work collaboratively with other staff members
• Must hold New Zealand Work Visa
• Hydrology/hydraulic modelling experience (recommended)
• River Engineering experience (recommended)
