Job summary

HW Richardson Group – Invercargill, South Island is hiring Class 4/5 Driver Operators to join our SouthRoads Ltd teams in Southland. This permanent, full-time role offers a guaranteed minimum 40 hours per week, overtime opportunities, and ongoing training for career development.

You will drive and operate Class 4/5 vehicles, transport materials and equipment, and support civil construction across varied sites with safety at the forefront.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current Class 4 or Class 5 driver’s licence.
• Strong commitment to health and safety on site.
• Experience operating civil construction plant and equipment is preferred.
• Training may be provided for motivated candidates.

Responsibilities

• Driving and operating Class 4/5 vehicles on civil sites.
• Transporting construction materials, plant and equipment to sites.
• Operating civil construction plant such as loaders, rollers and excavators where qualified.
• Assisting with earthworks, road construction and maintenance projects.
• Carrying out daily vehicle and equipment inspections.
• Following health, safety and environmental procedures.
• Working as part of a team to deliver quality project outcomes.
