Job summary

SouthRoads Ltd, part of the HW Richardson Group, is hiring Class 4/5 Driver Operators for Invercargill, Southland. This permanent full-time role involves operating heavy vehicles across project locations and supporting civil construction tasks.

You'll work with a skilled crew, receive ongoing training, and have career development opportunities, with standard hours and overtime. Drug test may be required.

Qualifications

• Current Class 4 or Class 5 drivers licence.
• Strong commitment to health and safety.
• Reliable work ethic and positive attitude.
• Ability to work effectively within a team.

Responsibilities

• Driving and operating Class 4 and Class 5 vehicles
• Transporting construction materials, plant, and equipment to and from sites
• Operating civil construction plant and equipment, including loaders, rollers, excavators, and other machinery where qualified
• Assisting with earthworks, road construction, quarrying and maintenance projects
• Carrying out labouring and site support duties as required
• Completing daily vehicle and equipment inspections
• Following health, safety, and environmental procedures
• Working as part of a team to deliver quality project outcomes
