Fulton Hogan in Blenheim, Marlborough is seeking a Civil Construction Worker to join our civil drainage team. You'll contribute to water mains, sewer, and stormwater projects while working outdoors with a supportive crew.

Ideal candidates have civil drainage/construction experience, a Class 1 license (Class 2/4 is a bonus), WTR endorsements, and a safety-focused mindset. We offer training, job stability, and a path to career progression.

Qualifications

• Experience in civil drainage/construction and pipelaying.
• Class 1 licence; Class 2 or 4 is a bonus.
• WTR endorsements would be advantageous.
• Experience in civil construction, drainage, pipelaying or related work.
• A can-do attitude with a strong safety focus.

Responsibilities

• Installing new or maintaining existing water mains.
• Network sewer, water and stormwater main renewals and upgrades.
• PE pipeline and connections requiring electro-fusion and butt welding.
• Assisting with excavation, backfilling, compaction and reinstatement.
• Supporting general road construction and related civil works.

We're on the lookout for a Civil Construction Worker with a strong preference for someone with proven pipelaying and drainage experience, to join our high achieving Civil team working on a range of projects in the sought-after picturesque region of Marlborough. What you’ll bring to the table

Ideally you have a background and experience in civil drainage/construction and can deliver quality workmanship. You are motivated, productive and share the same respect we do for creating a safe working environment. You don't need to tick every box, but it would be great if you have:

• Class 1 licence, with Class 2 or 4 a bonus
• WTR endorsements
• Connexis Level 3 Certificate in Water Reticulation or similar (would be an advantage but not essential)
• Experience in civil construction, drainage, pipelaying, or related work
• A can-do attitude and the ability to problem solve
• An unwavering commitment towards safety with a safety record to match

Role Accountabilities

This role includes performing a wide range of drainage construction projects including:

• Installing new or completing maintenance of existing water mains throughout the network
• Network sewer, water and stormwater main renewals and upgrades
• PE pipeline and connections requiring electro-fusion and butt welding
• Assisting with excavation, backfilling, compaction and reinstatement
• Supporting general road construction and associated civil works
