Job summary

Longland Project Limited in Auckland is seeking a full-time Building Associate to supervise construction sites and coordinate materials and human resources to ensure efficient site operations and compliance. You will assist managers and trades, oversee daily site activities, interpret plans and codes, and ensure safety.

The role requires 3+ years in supervision or a related diploma and offers on-site work 30+ hours per week with weekend availability; hourly rates range from NZD 40 to 45.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of relevant experience in construction site supervision or coordination, or a diploma in Construction Management, Engineering Management, or a relevant field.
• Knowledge of building materials, construction methods, and safety practices.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.
• Ability to coordinate multiple tasks and resources.

Responsibilities

• Assist Construction Managers, Architects, and Surveyors in planning and organising construction activities.
• Oversee daily activities on construction sites to ensure work progresses according to plans and schedules.
• Interpret building plans, regulations, and codes of practice.
• Coordinate site work programmes and schedules.
• Monitor on-site operations and ensure compliance with building codes and project specifications.
• Organise and allocate labour resources, including subcontractors and workers.
