Fulton Hogan is looking for a reliable Chip Runner to join our sealing crew in Greymouth. The role involves working outdoors alongside the chip truck to ensure safe, even chip application and quality standards during sealing operations.

Applicants should have road surfacing or civil construction experience and hold a full Class 1 licence. We value safety, teamwork and a hands-on attitude, with opportunities for ongoing training and development.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in road surfacing, chip sealing, or civil construction.
• A full Class 1 licence is essential.
• Additional licences, endorsements, or relevant tickets are an advantage.
• Strong commitment to safety, quality and teamwork.
• Reliable and able to work outdoors in a physical role.

Responsibilities

• Assist alongside the chip truck during sealing operations, guiding and monitoring chip spread on the road surface.
• Check chip coverage as laid to ensure even, consistent application to required standards.
• Communicate clearly with the truck operator and crew to maintain safe, smooth workflow.
• Support general sealing crew duties including site setup, cleanup and other hands-on tasks.
• Adhere to safety, quality and environmental requirements while working near live traffic.
