Job summary

CAF Psychiatrist opportunities in Christchurch, New Zealand, offer permanent full-time or part-time positions within a well-established Child, Adolescent and Family mental health service. You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team providing specialist psychiatric assessment, diagnosis and treatment for tamariki, rangatahi and their whānau across Waitaha Canterbury.

Qualifications

• Vocational registration or eligibility with the Medical Council of New Zealand in Psychiatry.
• FRANZCP or equivalent specialist qualification.
• Collaborative approach within a multidisciplinary team.
• Commitment to culturally safe practice and improving equitable health outcomes for Māori.
• International applicants eligible; relocation support may be available.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialist psychiatric assessment, diagnosis and treatment within CAF service.
• Contribute to collaborative care planning and clinical decision-making.
• Work within a well-staffed multidisciplinary team across Christchurch and Waitaha Canterbury.
