Taituarā seeks a Head of Resilience and Emergency Management to lead and shape resilience and emergency management across Waikato district. You will provide strategic leadership, partner with iwi, emergency services, agencies and communities, and guide the organisation through emergencies and disruptions.

Qualificações

• Senior leadership in resilience or emergency management.
• Strong understanding of emergency management frameworks and multi-agency environments.
• Experience advising senior leaders and elected officials.
• Experience partnering with iwi and Māori organisations.

Responsabilidades

• Lead development and implementation of the resilience and emergency management strategy.
• Provide strategic advisory to the Chief Executive,ELT and elected members on resilience and risk.
• Drive capability across the 4Rs: Reduction, Readiness, Response and Recovery.
• Ensure operational readiness, including planning, training and exercises.
• Lead emergency management responses and recovery activities as required.
• Build strong relationships with iwi, emergency services, government agencies and communities.
• Embed resilience thinking into planning, infrastructure and climate adaptation initiatives.
• Lead and mentor a specialist team with sound financial and programme management.
