Job summary

MainPower invites an executive leader to shape data, security and AI across our network, reporting to the CEO. Based in Rangiora with a Canterbury footprint, the role leads from day one to build an integrated data platform and secure, governed technology.

You will own cyber security at executive level, drive OT/IT convergence, and translate complex tech into clear Board decisions, partnering with the GM Network & Future Energy.

Qualifications

• Senior digital, data or technology leadership at CIO/CTO level.
• Track record building enterprise data platforms with governance.
• Hands-on AI and automation delivery with measurable benefits.
• Executive accountability for cyber security and reporting to Board.
• Knowledge of OT/IT convergence and security implications.
• Ability to translate complex tech for non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Turn current systems into an integrated data platform the business trusts.
• Embed AI and automation with governance and security.
• Provide executive oversight of cyber security and core systems.
• Work with the GM Network & Future Energy on OT/IT convergence.
• Translate technology plans into actionable Board decisions.
