Job summary

Four Points by Sheraton is seeking a Chef De Partie for a part-time role at our Auckland location. You will supervise hot and cold food preparation, support the Head Chef in maintaining quality and consistency, and coordinate cooks and assistants to deliver high standards during service.

The ideal candidate holds a Commercial Cookery qualification or trade certification, with working rights in New Zealand. A passion for the hospitality industry, a proactive attitude, and the ability to perform

Responsibilities

Supervise the preparation and production of all hot or cold food items for the food and beverage outlet.
Assist the Head Chef in ensuring the quality, consistency and production of food in all areas of responsibility.
Supervise and coordinate activities of cooks and workers engaged in food preparation.
Plan and manage food quantities and plating requirements for the food operation.
Ensure proper portion, arrangement and food garnish.
Maintain organisational skills to ensure your section is clean and runs efficiently throughout each service period.
Ensure all food is prepared and presented to exceed travellers' expectations.
Understand traveller’s requirements and deliver service excellence with each traveller's experience.
Assist the team with preparation and execution during service periods.
Maintain strong food safety and property standards.
