Job summary

DKW Recruitment Group is seeking a Class 2/4 Civil Construction Driver/Labourer in Christchurch. The role involves operating a 5.5 tonne truck across Canterbury, joining the construction crew, and performing asphalt prep, boxing, and general labouring tasks on various projects.

Required is a valid NZ Class 2 license; Class 4 is preferred. You may work on driveways, car parks, subdivisions, and other civil sites, with machinery operation as needed.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid NZ Class 2 license.
• Class 4 license preferred.
• Experience on civil construction sites is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Operate 5.5 tonne truck (Class 2/4) around Canterbury.
• Work within the construction crew on drives, car parks, subdivisions, and tennis courts.
• Prepare asphalt and chip seal surfaces.
• Use plat/compactors and other machinery as required.
• General labouring and assisting with duties as needed.

Our client is a leading asphalt company in New Zealand that provides quality asphalt paving, surfacing, and maintenance services for residential, commercial, and industrial projects.

At present, we are looking for a Class 2/4 Civil Construction Driver/Labourer

Your Main Responsibilities Will Include:

• 5.5 tone truck, class 2/4 truck all around Canterbury
• Working in the construction crew
• Driveways, car parks, subdivisions, tennis courts etc
• Timber & boxing
• Prep ashphalt, chip seal
• Operating plat compactors
• Other machinery as required
• General labouring
• Other duties as required

The successful candidate must have a valid NZ class 2 and ideally 4 driver's license.
