RHCNZ Medical Imaging Group is seeking an experienced Medical Imaging Technologist to step into a Charge MIT leadership role within Bay Radiology in the Bay of Plenty. You will provide clinical and operational leadership for a skilled MIT team delivering high-quality imaging services to patients and referrers.

Qualifications

• Current registration with the New Zealand Medical Radiation Technologists Board (MRTB) and an Annual Practising Certificate (APC).
• Proven experience as a Medical Imaging Technologist with clinical expertise across general imaging modalities.
• Strong leadership with coaching, mentoring and staff development capabilities.
• Knowledge of quality assurance protocols and a commitment to continuous improvement.
• Understanding of MRT/MIT responsibilities in safe delivery of imaging procedures, including medico-legal aspects.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills across a multidisciplinary team.
• A proactive, solutions-focused approach to operational challenges, workflow planning and service delivery.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional, clinical, and operational leadership for the MIT team.
• Ensure delivery of high-quality, safe imaging services.
• Collaborate with radiologists, modality leaders, operations teams and staff to drive service excellence.
• Mentor and develop MIT staff and influence future service delivery across the region.

As Charge MIT, you will provide professional, clinical, and operational leadership for the MIT team, ensuring the delivery of a high‑quality, safe, and efficient imaging service. You will work closely with radiologists, modality leaders, operations teams, and clinical staff to support service excellence and foster a positive team culture focused on patient care and professional development.

This role combines advanced clinical practice with leadership responsibility, offering the opportunity to influence service delivery, mentor and develop staff, and contribute to the future success of diagnostic imaging services across the region.

You will bring:

• Current registration with the New Zealand Medical Radiation Technologists Board (MRTB) and a current Annual Practising Certificate (APC)
