Job summary

North Haven Child Care & Education Centre in Timaru seeks a Centre Manager to provide lead oversight of the ECE curriculum, health and safety, and financial and HR management. You will build relationships and guide a team of dedicated teachers to deliver a high‑quality learning environment.

As part of our not‑for‑profit community, you will work with a supportive Committee and Trust Board and help maintain work‑life balance while meeting regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Experience leading ECE curriculum and safety practices.
• Proven ability to manage HR and financial operations.
• Strong relationship-building and team development skills.

North Haven Childcare & Education Centre is based in the heart of Timaru and is a not-for-profit community ECE with a licence for 50 tamariki aged between 3 months and 5 years old.

We are governed by a supportive Committee and Trust Board.

About the role

This position is the lead oversight requiring experience in the ECE curriculum, health and safety, financial and HR management. You will have experience in building relationships and be able to develop and grow a team of incredible teachers while both motivating and inspiring them.
