Playcentre Aotearoa is hiring a Centre Coordinator to work across Brooklyn and Newtown Playcentres. The role focuses on building adult capability so whānau can lead sessions and enrich children’s learning in a Playcentre environment.
You will provide pedagogical guidance, support curricula, and ensure sessions align with Playcentre philosophy while meeting regulatory requirements, including health and safety.

Working in collaboration with centre whānau and other centre support staff, the Centre Coordinator focuses on building adult capability and confidence. This enables adults to progressively take greater leadership in sessions and centre responsibilities, supporting a whānau-led environment.
As the Person Responsible on session, this role provides high quality support and pedagogical guidance to Playcentre whānau. The Centre Coordinator ensures sessions and programmes reflect Playcentre Philosophy and enriches children’s learning and development.
