Job summary

Cloudy Bay in Blenheim, Marlborough, is seeking enthusiastic Cellar Door Hosts for a six-month summer contract (Oct 2026–Mar/Apr 2027). You will deliver memorable wine tastings, assist guests with wine and food pairings, and promote the wine club.

We value hospitality experience, a sales mindset, weekend availability, and strong English. The role offers a supportive team, induction, flexible hours, staff events, and a retail discount on our wines.

Qualifications

• Experience in hospitality, ideally within a tasting room, cellar door, or restaurant environment.
• Sales-focused mindset with ability to promote wines, food, and merchandise naturally and confidently.
• Availability to work weekends and public holidays.
• Strong English communication skills; additional language is an advantage.

The summer season is on its way, and we are looking for enthusiastic Cellar Door Hosts to join our team in Blenheim, Marlborough.

If you love hospitality, enjoy creating memorable guest experiences, and have a passion for wine, this could be the perfect summer opportunity for you.

We are looking for friendly and engaging team members who can bring energy, warmth, and confidence to our cellar door, helping deliver exceptional wine tasting and food experiences for our guests throughout the summer season. These fixed-term roles are expected to run for approximately six months, from October/November 2026 through to March/April 2027.

In this role, you will be great at:

• Creating a warm, professional, and memorable experience for every guest

• Sharing your passion for excellent customer service

• Helping turn positive guest experiences into wine sales and long-term brand loyalty

• Encouraging visitors to join the wine club and return again

• Supporting private experiences and VIP events when required

We are looking for someone who has:

• Experience in hospitality, ideally within a tasting room, cellar door, or restaurant environment

• Experience in a fast-paced luxury environment within a large team is preferred

• A sales-focused mindset, with the ability to promote wines, food, and merchandise naturally and confidently

• Experience with Point of Sale and Reservation Systems

• A positive, enthusiastic, and team-oriented approach

• Availability to work weekends and public holidays

• Strong English communication skills. An additional language would be an advantage
