Job summary

Tourism Holdings Limited is seeking enthusiastic individuals to join as Cave Tour Guides at Waitomo Glowworm Cave and Aranui Cave. This fixed-term, part-time role focuses on leading engaging tours, ensuring guest safety, and contributing to environmental initiatives.

Ideal candidates have cave guide or customer service experience, a Tourism certificate (advantageous), a current drivers license, and a willingness to work 7 days. Training and development opportunities are available.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Cave Guide or in Customer Service.
• Certificate in Tourism is advantageous.
• Minimum NCEA Level 2.
• Current drivers license.
• First Aid qualification (Level 1) advantageous.
• Knowledge of Tikanga and Te Ao Maori advantageous.
• Ability to engage visitors from diverse cultures.
• Excellent presentation and interpretation skills.
• Full of energy and a team player.
• Available to work in a 7-day operation.
• Proficient swimmer with a general level of fitness.

About the Role:

On this fixed term part-time contract for a Cave Tour Guide, you will be responsible for leading entertaining and safe tours through our beautiful caves, ensuring our visitors have a memorable experience. You will also have the opportunity to participate in sustainability and environmental initiatives, as well as support and maintenance tasks.

What We're Looking For:

• Experience as a Cave Guide or in Customer Service
• Certificate in Tourism (advantageous)
• Minimum NCEA Level 2
• Current driver's license
