Job summary

Discover Waitomo is seeking casual Cafe Assistants for the Waitomo Glowworm Caves café. You will provide friendly customer service and serve food and beverages to visitors, helping create a memorable experience.

You’ll join a diverse team, with opportunities to try our cave tours and activities, and must be available on weekends and public holidays. NZ residency or valid work visa required.

Qualifications

• Preferably a recognised qualification or experience in hospitality.
• Reliable transport to get to shifts.
• High standard of personal presentation and hygiene.
• Willing to learn and strong work ethic.
• Must be available on a 7-day rotating roster.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service and serve food and beverages to visitors.
• Build relationships with guests and assist with café operations.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the café.
• Work on weekends and public holidays as rostered.

About the role:

Support the Food & Beverage Manager in the Waitomo Glowworm Cave Visitor Centre F&B department to ensure the delivery of a high-quality product and exceptional customer service.

The team is looking for Casual Cafe Assistant’s to jump aboard and join our Waitomo Glowworm Caves café. You'll quickly find that working here is an experience in itself. You'll build relationships with lots of new people and have the opportunity to try out the different activities we offer, such as rafting and other cave tours.
