St Andrews Village in Auckland is seeking motivated kitchen assistants for part-time and full-time shifts. The roles involve plating, food safety, meal delivery within care facilities, and general kitchen duties. Training is provided and there are opportunities to grow skills within a well-supported team.

Qualifications

• Kitchen, hospitality or aged care experience is a bonus, but not required. Full training will be provided.

Responsabilités

• Assist with plating meals and follow dietary plans, including texture-modified meals.
• Deliver meals around the care centre and care suites with care and accuracy.
• Wash dishes, cutlery, pots, and kitchen equipment using dishwashers or by hand.
• Clean work surfaces and floors and maintain a tidy kitchen.
• Handle waste safely and comply with recycling guidelines.
• Adhere to food safety, hygiene, infection control and health and safety guidelines.
• Record and monitor temperatures for food and equipment.

Variety of hours available in our busy kitchen, which produces 450 meals each day for the residents in our Care Suites and Care Centre.

We have a part-time and a full-time role available, and hours include early and late shifts across seven days, including weekends and public holidays.

What you will be doing

• Helping with plating meals
• Following dietary plans, including texture-modified meals, and taking care with allergies
• Delivery of meals around the care centre and care suites
• Washing dishes, cutlery, pots, and kitchen equipment (using commercial dishwashers or manual wash)
• Cleaning of work surfaces and floors
• Handling and disposal of food and general waste safely (recycling/compliance).
• Following food safety, hygiene, infection control, and health and safety guidelines and procedures
• Recording and monitoring temperatures for food and equipment.
