Job summary

Geneva Healthcare is seeking Casual Support Workers to join our team during the busy Christmas and New Year period across Palmerston North. You will provide practical, person-centred home and community support, helping clients with daily activities, transportation, and social participation.

We welcome compassionate, reliable applicants who can work flexible shifts, including weekends and public holidays. NZ driver license and transport are required; prior healthcare experience is preferred but

Responsibilities

• Provide medication support under guidance and maintain safety during activities.

About the Role

As a Casual Support Worker, you will provide practical and person-centered support to clients in their homes and communities. Duties may include:

• Supporting clients with community participation and social activities
• Assisting with personal care where required
• Medication support
• Meal preparation and household tasks
• Accompanying clients to appointments and outings
• Manual handling and transfers where required

What We're Looking For

You will be:

• Compassionate, reliable, and motivated to support others
• Available to work flexible shifts, including weekends and public holidays
• A strong communicator with a positive attitude
• Experienced in healthcare, disability support, or caregiving (preferred but not essential)
• Hold a Full New Zealand Driver License and have reliable transport
• Eligible to work in New Zealand
